We are excited to announce our latest release 🥳
This update continues our massive work on the redesign, focusing this time on the Streams and Connections pages to provide deeper insights at a glance. We are also thrilled to introduce our fully integrated Knowledge Base to help you navigate the complexities of WebRTC metrics.
Curious what treasures we have in store for you this time? 🎁🏴☠️🎁🏴☠️
🚀 Major Improvements
A Fresh Look for Streams and Connections 🎨
Still a huge work on the re-design! This time, the work has focused heavily on the Streams and on the Connections page. Mainly in both, this was a refresh of the table to make data clearer and more accessible.

Fresh look for Streams and Connections
But in Connections, we did a huge amount of work to merge the Pairs tables (that's the ICE candidate pairs) to the corresponding Peer Connection. This lets you drill down from the global information to the detailed pairs that were used during the call. This structural change means less clicking and more understanding of the relationship between your connections and their candidate pairs.
Introducing our Knowledge Base 📚
WebRTC is complex, there are tons of acronyms and you're lost? We are introducing our Knowledge Base to help with that.
What we are trying to do is to give you the information exactly when you need them. This means that when looking at specific data on the chart, if there is already an article that explains this metric, you will see a new icon that gives you directly the content for this information.

Introducing our Knowledge Base
The same has been added for our observations. It explains how we proceed and why we think this is relevant to you.
The complete Knowledge base is also accessible from free from our website: https://www.rtcstats.com/kb
✨ Other Improvements
Enhanced Pair Timelines ⏱️
For the ICE candidate pairs, we now display all the states reached in the timeline as well as the time spent in each. This allows to know exactly which pair is used and for how long, giving you a complete chronological view of your connection's behavior.

Enhanced Pair Timelines
New Network Observations 🌐
We also added new observations targeting the network to help you identify environmental issues faster. We can now detect:
- The usage of VPN
- mDNS candidates
- When no IPv4 interface exists
- Specific issues like when no audio packets are pulled out the local jitter buffer
- Detection of a bad acoustic environment
🐛 Fixes
Seamless Account Switching
For those who have been invited to another account, when someone sends you a link from this account, you are now able to switch automatically and display the internals file instead of having an error and having to switch manually before.
Upload Stability
We also fix some other minor issues preventing uploading a file. Don't hesitate to share your issues for this case.
We're confident that these new features and improvements will help you diagnose and resolve WebRTC issues more effectively. We're always eager to hear your feedback, so please don't hesitate to reach out and let us know what you think of the new release.
