Connection dropped

The peer connection has been dropped before the end of the call.

Description

A Connection drop occurs when a peer connection successfully reaches the connected state at least once, but later transitions to a failed or disconnected state and stays in this state until the end. In other words, the call was established but did not end cleanly.

This usually indicates a late network issue, a path that degraded over time, or middle-boxes closing the connection before the application finished using it.

What do we do here?

We examine all peer connections that reached at least the connected state and check whether their final state is failed or disconnected. We mark an observation in this case.
