Connected via a public discovered address
connectivity
The public address was found directly from the other side. It was not discovered by the standard ICE mechanism but was communicated back through the connection’s setup as a valid address to use.
Description
Connection with the remote side can use a public address that has been discovered by the remote side itself and not through the ICE mechanism.
This is a valid connection path but in a complex network topology, it can mask issues such as when the STUN/TURN servers take time to respond, are badly configured or not joinable.
What do we do here?
We check the local candidates used (from the selected pairs) and we look for a “prflx” candidate. If found, we mark an observation.
